SEAL Shipments

This article outlines the process to receive, seal, and ship packages for the Center for Translational Neuroscience

FASS Agent Step-by-step guide

Camy Sibley or Xiao Cheng will come by to drop off anywhere from 1 – 5 USPS small flat rate boxes. The boxes will not be sealed because they want a UPS return label placed inside.

Return labels cannot be processed through Neopost.

  1. Go to the UPS website directly to create it.
  2. Sign in using the Mail Services account (refer to Mail Services Coordinator for the password)
    1. username: uomailing
  3. Go to create a shipment.

  4. Choose an account: 945769 Mailing Services

  5. Drop down the “Ship From” section. You will enter a new address here (the address of the person the box is being shipped to as they will be the ones who return the shipment).

  6. In the Ship To section, select “Camy Sibley” from the drop down.

  7. Package Information: Enter the weight as 2 lbs and dimensions as 8x5x2.

  8. In Reference #1, you will enter the index provided.

  9. In Shipping Service, select “I’ll drop off my shipment or include it in another pickup.” Make the estimated ship date one week later.

  10. Choose the lowest cost rate.

  11. In Payment section, select “Bill My Account.”

  12. At the bottom, select “Pay and Get Label”

  13. A pop up will ask you if you want to correct the address. Select “no” or “continue without editing” whichever gets you to the next step.

  14. When the pop up prompts you to either print or save as a pdf, click ok. You will both print a copy and save it as a pdf. When saving as a pdf, save it with the title of the person’s name.

  15. Place a copy of the UPS return label inside the priority box and seal it. This is now ready to be processed over on Neopost, USPS Priority Small Flat Rate Box.

  16. Email a copy of the pdf to the requestor (Camy or Xiao) and let them know tracking for the USPS portion will be sent shortly from uomailing@uoregon.edu.

  17. When sending the package USPS priority, be sure to add the requestor’s email address to the Global Mail section and enable notifications, selecting “Shipped and Delivered” from the drop down.
