Merit Increases Payroll Processing
Instructions for completing merit increases.
FASS Agent Step-by-step guide
Central Payroll loads new rates into Banner.
- FASS Payroll
- Run Job Changes report in Banner before open window (PWIPAYR). Applies to employees that are listed as "Merit Increase" or "COLA"
Code Time Sheets
FORECAST
Use old rate for overtime as OTP. If they have PSB, MCR will be needed.
MID-MONTH Split hours between the old and new rate on the time sheet. During Open Window: enter time sheets as coded into PHAHOUR:
FORECAST
Rate is already updated. Enter the OTP at the old rate. PSB to be paid by MCR.
MID-MONTH Will have two time sheets. Enter hours applicable to appropriate rate. - Re-Run job changes report periodically throughout payroll open window to check for additional entries
- Issue MCR, if applicable, for forecast employees that had PSB. Send to Central Payroll for processing.
***FOR IT (Information Technology) Merit Increases:
- After Performance Evaluation is complete, supervisor and FASS-HR receives PRF from Central HR and forwards to FASS Payroll.
- FASS Payroll:
- Confirms percentage increase and new rate.
- Calculates hours that apply to retro payment & Issues MCR.
- Pull time sheet
- Code RRP for applicable hours. Can use multiple RRP pay code shifts for different rates.
- Code OTP for any overtime hours.
