Fuel Dispensing
This procedure outlines proper guidelines for Dispensing Fuel at CPFM (Campus Planning and Facilities Management).
Reporting Spills or Emergencies
- During Business Hours (6:30 am to 3:30 pm) Call Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) at (541) 346-3192.
- After Hours & Weekends: Call EH&S 24 Hour Emergency Phone (541) 954-3605.
Step-by-step guide
- Pull the vehicle needing fuel in front of the appropriate fuel pump.(Gas #2 or Diesel # 1)
- Go to the fuel station pedestal containing the keypad used for access code entry.
- Find the Access Keypad in the center of the fueling station.
- Type in your assigned employee number, Press Enter.
- Type in the vehicle number (The vehicle number can be found on the front and rear bumpers of the vehicle. Don’t enter any dashes. Example: 10-12 would be entered as just 1012.) (Press Enter).
- Type in your assigned pin number (Press Enter)
- Type in the fuel type number. (Diesel is # 1 and Gas is # 2 ) (Press Enter).
- The selected pump will engage. (You may hear a click sound as it engages).
- To dispense fuel, flip the lever to the “On” position,” on the pump and remove the nozzle.
- Wait until the fuel tank has zeroed out. The pump is now ready to dispense the fuel.
- Insert the fuel hose nozzle into the vehicle fuel receptacle and squeeze the handle on the hose nozzle. Fuel should be dispensing.
- When the tank is full, the nozzle will shut off automatically.
- Do not top-off Tank.
- Put Nozzle back into the pump and flip the lever to “Off”.
- The pump should shut off
