Clear Cached Distribution List

Are your emails to a distribution list not always reaching everyone on the list? Has the list been updated lately? This can be caused by the Outlook client trying to remember what the list looked like the last time you emailed them. Rather then email the up-to-date list, it will used what it previously had! To fix this, follow these steps:


  1. Open a new email:
  2. In your new email:
    1.  
      1. start typing the name of the outdated list, it should pop up under "recent people" or "Other suggestions" (1)
      2. Once it appears, highlight it and click the "X" to the right of it. This will remove it from your "Recent People" and removed the cached information. (2)
      3. Open the distribution from the Address book (3) and write your email as normal
