Route your office # to your cell phone

If you're working remotely, you can set up your cell phone to ring when someone calls your office phone.  This is called Bridge-to-Cellular or EC500.

Route your office # to your cell phone

  1. Work with your supervisor to get approval for routing your office phone to your cell phone.  You need to be aware of labor laws and cell phone usage on personal devices before doing this.
  2. Contact your department's phone coordinator with the following information and ask them to submit a ticket so you can get EC500 enabled for your phone extension.
    1. Your desk phone #
    2. Your cell phone #
    3. Your supervisor's name and that they approved the request.
  3. Your department's phone coordinator will open a ticket with Network Telecom Services who will configure this and follow up with any training needed.

Hide your cell # when calling

  1. Make sure EC500 is set up for your cell phone.
  2. Dial 541-346-2100 from your cell phone.
  3. When you get a dial tone, dial the off-campus number starting with a 9 (eg 9-1-541-448-0927).  Your office phone # should show on the caller ID of the receiver's phone.
