Installation

1. Install pre-reqs
   1. .NET Framework 3.5 (if on the private network, you may need to enable this feature via dism)
   2. .NET Framework 4.8
2. Set UAC to Never Notify.  
   ***NOTE*** This is only for installation.  OnGuard has hidden tasks that run during install.  If UAC is on, it will look like the install succeeds but certain parts of the software won't work.
   
   
   
3. Copy the installer from \\files\uodps\Temp\Lenel to C:\Temp on the location computer.
4. Browse to the installer.  Right-click setup.exe and choose Run as administrator.
   
   
   
5. Click Install to install the prerequisites.  
   
   
   
6. You may get the following pop-under for .NET Framework 3.5 if your computer doesn't have access to the Windows Update server.  Click OK to continue, but be sure to install .NET Framework 3.5 as listed in step #1.
   
   
   
7. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next.
   
   
   
8. Select STANDARD and click Next.  
   
   
   
9. Click Client System.  
   
   
   
10. Select Custom System - Choose features to be installed and SQL Server (Manual) - SQL Server and database to be installed and configured separately by the user.  Click Next.
    
    
    
11. Hit Cancel twice on the pop-up window to browse for computer.
    
    
    
12. Enter the license and DB server info for dev or prod as indicated below and click Next.
    Dev = fass-lenel-d01, fass-lensql-d01
    Prod = fass-lenel-p01, fass-lensql-p
    
    
    
    
13. Leave the default features selected and click Next.  
    
    
    
14. Click the Install button and wait patiently for a little while.
    
    
    
15. Click Finish when prompted.
    
    
    
16. The Setup Assistant will automatically open.  Click Apply Settings.  
    
    
    
17. Click Close when prompted.
    
    
    
18. Reboot the computer and re-enable UAC on the computer.
