Shopping Cart (AiM)

This procedure outlines the steps to create a Shopping Cart in AiM to order materials from the Stores Warehouse.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log in to AiM
  2. Access the Shopping Cart through one of two options
    1.  Option 1
      1. From the Aim Work Desk screen select Work Management

      2. Select Work Order

      3. Select Search located in the upper left-hand corner
      4. Enter the work order number for the purchase then select Execute located in the upper left-hand corner

      5. Select the work order
      6. Select the phase the purchase will be assigned to.

      7. Select Shopping Cart located on the left-hand menu


    2.  Option 2
      1. From the Aim Work Desk screen select Inventory

      2. Select Shopping Cart

      3. Select New to open a new Shopping Cart

  3. Options 1 and 2 will bring you to a new Shopping Cart page
    1. Note: shopping Cart # is auto generated in AiM, this number is highlighted in yellow on the top left of the screen
  4. Enter into the description box:
    1. Brief description of items to be purchased
    2. If items will be picked up or location to be delivered
  5. Update the remaining fields in the header (required fields are highlighted red) 
    1. Requestor* 
    2. Region* 
    3. Facility
    4. Property* 
    5. Warehouse – this will always be Stores
    6. Work Order* 
    7. Phase* 
    8. Desired Date
      *These fields will be populated if the shopping cart was created using option 1

      Note: To look up information regarding a field, click the spyglass associated with that field.
  6. Add items to the cart by selecting Add to Cart

  7. Search for parts by entering into the Part Description field and selecting search, or drilling down to Commodity code and using the Part Description search
    1. Class – select N/A
    2. Commodity – select a code from the drop down
    3. Enter the search criteria in the Part Description field and select Search

  8. Enter the requested Quantity for each part you want to order and select Add to Cart
    1. Verify the quantity you selected does not exceed the Quantity on Hand
  9. Continue searching and adding parts
  10. When you have finished adding all parts to the Cart select Done located in the upper left-hand corner
  11. Select Save. Status will automatically be set to Shop Approved if < $2500, if over $2500 status will be Pending Supv Apv.


The inventory parts in the shopping cart will be picked from inventory by Warehouse staff and available in 1 business day.

If the order is a priority, contact the FASS Service Desk at (541) 346-2455 and it will be addressed as soon as possible.

Customers are welcome to visit the FASS Warehouse located at 1295 Franklin Blvd. for immediate purchases from inventory.
