Step-by-step guide

  1. Complete Student Recruitment Intake Form below and route to FASS HR.

  2. TERMINATION: Send FASS Payroll final timesheet with notice of termination.

  • Accts Payable Assistant
  • Laborer (Painter, Groundskeeper, Lock Shop Assistant)
  • Re-Lamp Technician
  • Maintenance Assistant
  • Custodian
  • Routine, repetitive duties involving few decisions
  • Requires no specialized knowledge to perform assigned tasks

 

Student Employee 2



  • Office Assistant – Specialized Skills
  • Laborer – Specialized Skills
  • Auto CAD Drafter
  • Contract Assistant
  • GIS Technician
  • ZW Satellite Service Recycler
  • ZW Operations Assistant 2
  • Performs a variety of routine duties
  • Requires application of specific industry guidelines Ability to work from detailed instructions
  • Ability to work with data, perform simple analysis and the exercise of some judgment
  • Previous training or work experience may be required

Student Employee 3



  • Office Assistant – Advanced or Lead
  • Laborer – Lead Worker
  • IT Technical Assistant
  • Trades Maintenance Worker
  • ZW Student Administrative Assistant
  • Newsletter Editor
  • Performs a variety of duties
  • Plans and performs operations or makes analysis of facts to determine logical answers
  • Makes general decisions; uses critical thinking skills and job specific knowledge
  • Uses higher level tools to resolve problems of technical nature
  • Requires some specialized skills or experience

Student Employee 4



  • ZW – Specialized Skills (Multimedia Specialist, Student Education Coordinator)
  • Student Research Assistant


  • Performs a wide variety of duties involving the use of initiative and judgment
  • Requires ability to research data and/or use specialized knowledge to determine solutions
  • May be responsible for passing information on to others or instructing other student employees
  • Requires completion of specialized training or experience

FASS Agent Step-by-step guide

  1. FASS HR reviews form for completeness.

  2. Posts position on Handshake
  3. Notifies supervisor of posting
  4. Forwards applications to supervisor for review
  5. Supervisor is responsible for reviewing applications, scheduling and conducting interviews. 
  6. Supervisor notifies FASS HR of finalist with following details:
    1. Name
    2. Wage
    3. Start Date Preference
  7. Supervisor notifies all non-advancing interviewed candidates.

  8. FASS HR schedules HR & Payroll orientations for the student hire.

  9. FASS HR saves all applicant information into bulk-compiled .pdf file in student recruitment folder, saved by date and position title.

  10. In case of termination:
    1. Supervisor notifies FASS Payroll of termination and submits final timesheet for processing.
    2. FASS Payroll submits a separation ticket to the FASS Service Desk and attaches the Student Separation Checklist.
