iPad Repair (Draft)

Damage happens. Here's what to do when it does:


  1. Does the device still have applecare coverage?
    1. https://checkcoverage.apple.com/
  2. Online on the apple repair/warrantee menu, select "accidental damage". Repair can happen at Express Tech.  Need to setup an appointment to drop off the iPad.

    2. They will need device model, get it from JAMF
    3. They will set an appointment to look at it and get it processed, which takes about 15-20 minutes.
    4. Most repairs are $49 if covered under warranty
  3. Run quote by <<Someone>>(Lance?) to have a PO made, by Purchasing team. 
    1. As of 2/2022, SimplyMac is no longer part of The Duck Store and doesn't have our org stuff on file
    2. Susan Ostermann will create a PO, which basically tells you to call her during payment and she'll pay with a P-card over the phone
    3. If needed, Drew has a physical P-Card as well. 
  4. 1-2 Business weeks for repair or replacement
    1. Payment will be due on dropoff, just have them call Susan(may want to make an appointment with her to be available, if needed?)
  5. Get iPad back
    1. If its new, re-tag, reJAMF
  6. Return to user!
