Issue

PDF files are opening in Edge or Chrome or not at all.

Step-by-step guide

Choose a default program

  1. Locate a PDF file that you are having trouble with.
  2. Right click the PDF file that you wish to open. 
  3. Choose "Open with" (1 in the screenshot below)
  4. Choose "Choose another app" (2 in the screenshot below)
  5. Locate "Adobe Acrobat DC" in the list of programs (1 in the screenshot below)
  6. Check the box next to "Always use this app to open .pdf files" (2 in the screenshot below)
  7. Click OK (3 in the screenshot below)

The PDF file should open in Adobe Acrobat Reader for this instance and in the future.
