CPFM Facilities Services Pant Stipend

Pant stipends will be provided to Facilities Services staff to purchase pants, shorts, skirts, or dresses in accordance with the Uniform and Appearance Guidelines.

Step-by-step guide

For Individual Stipend (New Employees)

Upon hire of a position that is eligible for participation in the program, a stipend can be requested during the on-boarding process. Supervisors are responsible for communicating the type of apparel, material, and color to the employee. The stipend ($65) will be paid to the employee in the pay period following approval of the request. New employees will then be eligible for participation in the annual stipend program beginning September 1st after the probationary period has ended.

Annual Unit-Wide Stipend (Existing Employees)

Supervisors may submit a unit-wide pant stipend request annually on behalf of their existing, eligible employees. Supervisors are responsible for communicating the type of apparel, material, and color to the employee. The unit-wide form must be turned in to the FASS departmental processor before the end of August each fiscal year. In addition, a list of all current eligible positions within each unit must be maintained and updated during the annual budgeting process. Stipends for existing employees will be processed during the September (period 3) pay period for those eligible that fiscal year.

Note:

  • Supervisors are responsible for ensuring employees wear proper apparel while on the job.
  • Pant stipends are taxable and will appear on employees’ W2 forms.
