FASS Agent Step-by-step guide
During New Employee Orientation, determine non-system or system (University of Oregon) student status. Ask non-system student for proof of registration (class schedule).
FASS Payroll processes eligibility requirements as follows:
NON-SYSTEM Send proof of registration to Central Payroll. If this is not sent each term, student will be automatically terminated out of the system and will need to be re-activated
SYSTEM (UO) STATUS Run Student Eligibility Report before each pay period.Â
*Incoming Freshman may work one term prior to enrollment. Once they are registered during IntroDUCKtion, they will appear on the report for the upcoming school year.
FASS Payroll addresses any ineligible students:
NON-SYSTEM Check non-system students for proof of registration
FREE TERM Check if a free term needs to be used. If so, send request for a free term to Student Payroll Specialist in Central Payroll. Â
ONE TERM POST GRADUATION Supervisor may request for a student to work one term past graduation. Send the request to Student Payroll Specialist in Central Payroll with a justification. ONE TERM PRE ENROLLMENT *Incoming Freshman may work one term prior to enrollment. Once they are registered during IntroDUCKtion, they will appear on the report for the upcoming school year.
UNDER ENROLLMENT Students who are registered for less than 8 credits (undergraduate) or 5 credits (graduate), may be eligible for the under enrollment exemption. This is based on special circumstances or graduating seniors. FASS Payroll sends email to Central HR with justification to talent@uoregon.edu.
