Turn off Focused Outlook Email

When using Outlook, UOMail by default shows your inbox in 2 tabs - Focused and Other. UOMail tries to determine your most important email and shows it on the Focused tab.  Everything else is in the Other tab.

To turn off the focused inbox and revert to the "original" display format:

Outlook

  1. Open Outlook.  Go to View and click Show Focused Inbox so the grey box around it disappears.

Outlook on your cell phone

  1. Open Outlook on your cell phone.  Click the 3 bars in the top left-hand corner of the window.


  2. Click the settings gear in the bottom left-hand corner of the window.


  3. Toggle the Focused Inbox setting to off.  

Outlook in a Web Browser

  1. Open UOMail by going to https://uomail.uoregon.edu.  Click the settings gear in the top right-hand corner of the window.


  2. Scroll down and toggle the Focused Inbox setting to off.
