Conex Storage Container Rental Agreement and Check-Out
This article outlines the procedures for renting Conex storage containers from the FASS Warehouse.
Step-by-step guide
There are a limited number of conex storage containers (located in the Back 40) available for temporary use for CPFM employees. If you find yourself in need of a storage facility, please consider the following:
- Each conex is locked and maintained by Stores. A Stores employee can assign a conex to a department supervisor, and issue a key to him/her. Please visit or call Stores for any questions regarding availability.
- There will be an agreed upon duration time for the rental of a conex between the department head and Stores. Stores will track the rental agreements, and will notify the department head when that time is up. This does not mean the renter forfeits a conex at this time; but they will be required to update Stores on a new rental timetable.
- While a key will be given to a department head, there will also be an additional key in Stores in the event the department head has possession of the key and is unreachable. Simply check out the key with a Stores employee, and return it to them when finished. There will be a sign-out sheet.
- The renter shall disclose what items will be stored in their conex.
- No hazardous material is to be stored in a conex without prior authorization.
- Flammable items, in addition to being disclosed prior to storage, shall be kept at all times in an approved flammable cabinet.
- Please lock the conex after each use.
- Inspect the outside of the conex with each visit, and notify a Stores employee in the event of vandalism or missing lock.
- Report a lost key to a Stores employee immediately.
- Stores will keep a set of master keys and reserves the right to enter any conex at any time.
